How to QUICKLY Fix Error IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL – Windows 7/8/10 How to Fix Error IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error is a type of blue screen of death (BSoD) error.

This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 7 operating systems.Works for all major computer manufactures (Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, Samsung).

From Microsoft:

Error Message:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Explanation:

This Stop message indicates that a kernel-mode process or driver attempted to access a memory address to which it did not have permission to access. The most common cause of this error is an incorrect or corrupted pointer that references an incorrect location in memory. A pointer is a variable used by a program to refer to a block of memory. If the variable has an incorrect value in it, the program tries to access memory that it should not. When this occurs in a user-mode application, it generates an access violation. When it occurs in kernel mode, it generates a STOP 0x0000000A message. If you encounter this error while upgrading to a newer version of Windows, it might be caused by a device driver, a system service, a virus scanner, or a backup tool that is incompatible with the new version.

User Action:

This error usually occurs after the installation of a buggy device driver, system service, or BIOS. To resolve it quickly, restart your computer, and press F8 at the character-mode menu that displays the operating system choices. At the resulting Windows 2000 Advanced Options menu, choose the Last Known Good Configuration option. This option is most effective when only one driver or service is added at a time. If you encounter this error while upgrading from Windows NT 4.0 or earlier, it might be caused by a device driver, a system service, a virus scanner, or a backup tool that is incompatible with the new version. If possible, remove all third-party device drivers and system services and disable any virus scanners prior to upgrading. Contact the software manufacturers to obtain updates of these tools. For additional error messages that might help pinpoint the device or driver that is causing the error, check the System Log in Event Viewer. Disabling memory caching of the BIOS might also resolve this error. You should also run hardware diagnostics supplied by the system manufacturer, especially the memory scanner. For details on these procedures, see the owners manual for your computer. If your system has small computer system interface (SCSI) adapters, contact the adapter manufacturer to obtain updated Windows 2000 drivers. Disable sync negotiation in the SCSI BIOS, check the cables and the SCSI IDs of each device, and confirm proper termination. For enhanced integrated device electronics (EIDE) devices, define the onboard EIDE port as Primary only. Also, check each EIDE device for the proper master/slave/stand-alone setting. Remove all EIDE devices except for hard disks.

  1. The problem with me is that ill just randomly be on my pc whether or not ill be playing video games or not, and this will pop out from time to time. Will any of these methods work?

  2. On your second suggestion, under "Policies," my two choices are different. There is a box checked that says "Enable write caching on the device." And a second box that is unchecked that says "Turn off Windows write-cache buffer flushing on the device." Not sure which one to check.

  3. So i just did the memory diagnostic and it found nothing.

Just a quick question about your second recommendation.
if I have multiple hard drives do I do the second step to all them? or just the one that have the operating system installed on it?

  4. This error generally occurs when there is any fault in system hardware like Ram or graphics card. I run Adobe Media Encoder And Sometimes After closing that software i get this error. At the time of closing software the ram gets empty from 90% to 2% and this causes issue. From sudden HEAT to cold. So in other words you need better memory management.

  5. I just barely got my computer, got internet in my apartment and this shit happens wtf man. I mean I haven't downloaded nothing just updates that's all it's damn new

  6. If the third method of unplugging USB devices works, then it seems to imply that those devices are the problem. If they are, then what is one to do about using those specific devices? Should they just not be used? Can other mouses/keyboards/etc. still be used?

  7. Is it possible that peripherals that I have been using are spoiled? (Speakers and Mouse)
I have tried almost every method I can (including yours since they're almost the same.) but I'm suspecting that virus I found earlier did some damage to my system files even after I deleted them or I they still hiding in my laptop? hmm.

  8. I had game freezing issue since i build my PC which is month ago, today i solved it by your video. thanks mate. may Allah provide you more knowledge and success in your life.

    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Shaikh

  9. just wanted to say THANK YOU – it seem it was also a problem in my case; I uninstalled the Windows-updated driver and manually installed TP Link wireless adapter drivers for Win 8.1 (I actually did it in the very beginning but then Win 10 decided to updated that – and screwed up); also, i was getting "memory management" BSODs but it seems this is related and just a different way of reporting the error

  10. I was hoping to find a memory fault, because that would be so easy to fix. Alas, I've had this message occasionally, plus the computer refusing to switch on. I'll wait until the problems reoccur before starting step 2. At least I've been reassured that I may not need to replace my computer or take it to someone for repair, yet.

  11. My windows does not boot. I cant do anything just keep in a infinite bucle of this error and the kernel and the security check. and it does not allow me to instal windows.

  12. This error might also appear when you are trying to open an app that takes pic or record voices aka cam or voice recording apps… and you have an antivirus which is set to block all sorts of such access. It happened to me when i denied all access to my camera and started the cam, an error box appeared twice then i had this BSOD.

Hope it works or helps you guys figure what was causing that problem

  13. When I boot my laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate, I get blue screen DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL errors like 0x0000000A, 0x0000000D1, and others (I did not take down the error numbers!) In the beginning of time when error started coming, it stayed at the blue screen, but now, laptop restarts without properly displaying even the blue screen error.

    1. Safe mode – Does not work
    2. Safe mode with Networking – Does not work!
    3. Last Known Good Configuration – Does not work!
    4. Debugging mode – Does not work!
    5. Windows 7 OS Start-up repair tells that the version of Windows 7 Ultimate OS is different from the Start-Up repair!
    6. I tried with Windows 10 ISO images, but the laptop did not boot from the USB even I selected USB boot option!
