  1. Even with this mix I would use tape to mask off the car’s paint.

You could use either blue or green painter’s masking tape to prevent damage. It goes on quick
    Y with a little practice.

    ps: plastic headlights suck!

  2. Like everything else: if you take care of things they last longer. No need for class headlight covers. I would suggest that as an added touch to show the difference, you could have turned the lights on to see the improvement that way.

  3. Wet the headlight, rub in the baking soda, then spray on the vinegar if you want to watch it bubble. The chemical reaction will then clean, not just put on a show.

  4. The guy added a base to an acid and the reaction creates CO2 gas, but does nothing to healp clean the plastic lens. Just use baking soda in a little water to create a paste and rub that on. The bubbles of CO2 gas do nothing. Rinse or neutralize the sodium bicarbonate with a little vinegar when done.

  5. anyone can improve the surface of an aged plastic headlight unit with T,Cut, alloy cream polish, and even car wax ! the art is ""PATIENCE" NOT THE MATERIAL YOU USE thats secondary people today expect a miracle fix when they wipe a polish or compound over aged plastic surfaces such as these, you HAVE to work the polish in over and over thats what gets results not branded products the motor industry on mass has gone to making their AWFUL tin and plastic MODERN DAY cars out of cheap RUBBISH MATERIALS so THEY can make more money by cutting production costs they couldent give a a monkies about owners in years to come classic cars from this era today WONT exist its all plastic and tin rubbish that definitely wont stand the test of time regards all

  6. You did not specify how much ingredients to use so should someone use more baking soda than distilled vinegar or should someone use a quarter cup of baking soda and a quarter of a cup of distilled vinegar?

  7. Between plastic headlight lens and crappy clear coat paint jobs WE'RE GETTING SCREWED What's wrong with car builders these days. Both of these are dumb as hell. This helps sell cars for $35,000 total BS
