  1. Nope, still can't see anything I've tried all these remedies and more over the last few months, nothing helps. Sometimes I will see some of the computers, most of the time I don't. It's really random.

  2. For others here there's also a known bug after the one of the latest updates that causes this problem as well. It's related to Windows Defender and the easiest way to fix it at least for now is to use something like the free version of avast. In other words replacing Windows Defender with something else seems to fix the problem for most people if what this video shows doesn't fix it.

  3. Brilliant, thank you. I have three computers at home, I had no problems with my Haswell-E system seeing my Coffee Lake system and my Ryzen system, but my Coffee Lake system and Ryzen system couldn't see each other. I had tried everything I could think of and more and still couldn't get the two computers to see each other. If it wasn't for the fact my old Haswell-E system could see my Ryzen system, I would have thought some Intel vs. AMD software trickery was preventing my Coffee Lake and Ryzen computers from communicating on purpose.

It was the services not starting that was the issue with both systems. Gotta thank Microsoft for purposely making our lives more difficult. Homegroup was perfectly fine, their reasoning to remove it was iffy at best, without it it just makes things more difficult for people that aren't network savvy. Hardware has always been my thing, not networking so this was a big help.

  4. Thank you so much – this fixed my problem perfectly. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out wth went wrong, though I knew it was due to Windows update breaking something.

  5. Thank you so much for sharing this information. I can't tell you how many hours I spent trying to solve this problem with no success. Your very easy to implement solution works like a charm. For those still having problems, you do need to go through each step on each network computer, in my case about 8 computers. Can't imagine how you came up with the solution, but kudos to you for solving it, and double kudos for sharing it! You have made my life, and I'm sure many others. easier.

  6. Abra o painel de controle,
    PROGRAMAS,

  8. Thank you SO MUCH. By turning on Function Discovery Provider host I am FINALLY able to see all 6 of my comps in File Explorer /network. For others still pulling their hair out… If you cant get your network to show I suggest you follow these instructions on this other video as well as this great video.
